Transportation

From Newark Airport:

Three shuttle buses have been set up to get people from Newark Airport to the Princeton area hotels. These will leave at the following times:

  • 4:45pm - 5pm
  • 7:00pm - 7:15pm
  • 11:15pm - 11:30pm

Note that the bus has to stop at terminals A, B and C. The shuttle service is being provided by First Transit. I am doing my best to make sure that they have an "IOS 2016" sign on the bus, but I cannot guarantee this. Click here for transportation spreadsheet showing everyone's travel plans.

  • Rental car - Take the Air Train from your arrival terminal (A, B or C) to lot P3 (there will be signs to the rental car companies in the Air Train station). Lot P3 is right past terminal A.

  • Rail - Take the Air Train to the rail link station (past lot P4). You need to get out and transfer to NJ Transit, which you want to take to the Princeton Junction train station. From there, you will need to take a cab to your hotel (Princeton has Uber, but not many). If you are going to the Nassau Inn, you can either take a cab/Uber, or you can transfer to the "dinky" (yes, that is what we call it) - this is a little two-car train that stops right at the main line, and takes you into the town of Princeton. Have your google maps ready - it is about a 15 minute walk into the center of Princeton where the Nassau Inn is located.

From Philadelphia Airport:

If you are flying into Philadelphia Airport, you may rent a car, or use rail. By rail, you will need to first get from the airport to the Philadelphia train station, where you should then transfer to SEPTA which will take you to Trenton. From Trenton, it is a 15 minute cab ride to Princeton (even less to the Route 1 hotels). The link below will provide detailed instructions:

Note that you can edit your desired departure time and get a precise schedule.
